Welcome to the website of The Friends of Hartley Park.

The business of our last meeting on 22nd April 2008 was held at the Hyde Park pub. There has been some good progress since our previous meeting. Please review the recent minutes for more details.

We are always keen for people to join us - please click here to email us with your name, and we will be in touch!!

Hartley Park is situated approximately 2 miles from the centre of Plymouth between Mannamead Road, Hartley Avenue, Eggbuckland Road and Reservoir Road. Click Here To View Map.

The park has a long history, formerly being known as Hartley Pleasure Gardens and being closely associated in it's early development with water supplies into Plymouth and specifically Hartley Reservoir.

In a prime location the park offers a pleasant open space, childrens play area and other recreational facilities including a tennis court.

Unfortunately, the park has fallen into disrepair and The Friends of Hartley Park has been formed to gain funding and in liaison with the Parks Department of Plymouth City Council, to bring the park back to it's former glory.

We are pleased to receive any comments you have about Hartley Park. Please use the contact form on the site or email us at ray@doghouse14.f9.co.uk
